Tim Harford writing for Slate.com conjured the idea that Facebook is not dissimilar to Ikea? This is an excellent article where he considered the business model of: “Facebook, like Ikea—and like Microsoft—has mobilized an army of independent suppliers.” Read why these two very different superpowers are so very similar.

Myspace told to protect its young users in the US by: “The site has until the end of the year to develop age and identity-verification measures.” The site has come under pressure recently which not doing enough have now: “taken the initiative and purged as many as 5,000 registered sex offenders from its registry,” Says The Greenwich Time Newspaper website and continue: “but, again, it's impossible to know how many others lurk as yet uncaught and with false identities.”

Orkut – Google’s social network – has seemed to route out a worm which invaded the system over Christmas and the New Year so the population of Orkut – which is mainly in Brazil – can have their social networking prowess back.
